Hi! I’m Tara.
Welcome to my studio!
I’m an award-winning writer, creator, artist, illustrator, and entrepreneur with more than a decade of experience in children’s media and non-profit work. After a fruitful season creating content for Sesame Workshop, the global education non-profit organization behind the beloved show, Sesame Street, I’m leaning into life as a working artist.
Art making is one way I reconnect with my purpose, potential, and dignity. My mission is to offer beautiful art, meaningful products, and creative experiences to help spark that same connection in others.
I hope you’ll follow along as I step more fully into my Artist Era! And, if you’re up for it, let’s journey together. Please reach out if you’d like to collaborate on a creative project.
In addition to being an artist, I’m a mom, Marine wife, and happy Catholic. I’m a sucker for a fancy coffee and love taking walks and listening to podcasts. I’m also the co-founder of Scatter and Sow.
My family and I are based in Tulsa, OK.

“That is why artists, the more conscious they are of their “gift”, are led all the more to see themselves and the whole of creation with eyes able to contemplate and give thanks, and to raise to God a hymn of praise. This is the only way for them to come to a full understanding of themselves, their vocation and their mission.”
