Sesame Workshop
Here are a selection of storybooks I wrote for Sesame Workshop during my near-decade of creating content for young children, families, and the providers who care for them. In addition to storybooks, I developed resources ranging from printable activities, to Muppet videos and animations, to activity guides and educational courses. Grief, military family life, autism, resilience, emergencies and crisis, child development, and parenting represent just a sampling of topics I addressed. Some project highlights are below.
Helping Families Grieve
I wrote and story-produced the content and video elements within this powerful digital interactive experience, which received a Webby and Gold Anthem Award in 2024. Accompanying Muppet videos, articles, and activities round out a meaningful suite of resources for grieving families.
Military Family Life
I came up with printable activities for children, wrote articles for parents, and helped produce Muppet Videos for the whole family bring to life both joyful and complex topics related to military life.
Sesame Strong
I designed this scope and sequence, wrote the content, and produced (and spoke in) instructional videos to help providers (educators) enhance their family engagement efforts. I also developed an accompanying 52-week email newsletter series with related activities for families.
Faith-based creative work
I aim to use my charisms of writing, craftsmanship, and music to create opportunities for encounter with the Lord.
Scatter & Sow
I am co-founder of Scatter and Sow, a ministry on a mission to create space for women to cultivate beauty, creativity, and relationship in a uniquely feminine and authentically Catholic way.
Through in-person and virtual retreat experiences, we aim to reveal and elevate God's creative and loving presence.
I designed the logo, website, graphics, and continue to collaborate on curricula for retreats, co-authoring content and designing activities.
